Think Harold Webb performed at the World Cup final. I thought it was a difficult game to referee and Webb did good in the circumstances. The Dutch team really should be brought to task by FIFA. What do you think?

whoever lost was always going to have the hump, apart from a couple of dodgy decisions I think he did a good job considering the pressure

I don't watch a lot of football micmak but I thought Harold Webb looked to be a commanding figure on the pitch and seemed to know what he was doing, not bad looking either. The Dutch team acted like spoilt babies, he handled them well I thought

Those Dutch players were quite beastly.

Instead of moaning about Howard Webb, they should thank him for being so lenient with them.

They were totally horrid.

He was brilliant and it's totally out of order that he's getting all this stick. The players should look to themselves before pointing the finger at the referee. He missed quite a number of things as well. I wonder what sort of reception he will be getting when he refs forthcoming Premiership games! Hope they give him a good cheer! I heard his mum interviewed on the radio this morning. I know she's biased,but she was really upset about the hard time that he was being given. Anyway, Cruyff has gone on record as saying how dreadful the Dutch team were and how their behaviour was disgraceful - so I think
Mr.Webb's actions have been totally vindicated!

Another thought - I wonder what Sir Alex Fergie would have to say when Mr. Webb refs one of their Premiership games next season. ... I shudder at the thought of it!

Sorry, yes it is Howard my mistake. I don't understand why the Dutch behaved like hooligans and not footballers. Or maybe the two go together.
