Does anyone have an aunt that's giddy?
I had two - sisters Nellie and Glad. By Gad, were they giddy or what? They put the iddy into giddy. And Nellie left me a lovely ruby ring which I polish regularly....

I phoned her yesterday, she wants some cuttings from my garden, she was asking after my neighbour, the elderly chap who fell in his garden a few weeks back, she said,
"How's that young chap who fell over?"
I said, who? - I couldn't think at first who she was on about, 'young'...
"your neighbour" she said

"Oh, he's not young he's seventy- I began

"Well, he's young to me - tell him I said he could take me out to dinner spot of dancing wouldn't go amiss either - but where to go these days?"
she's just incorrigable!!!
Love it! I hope I am like that when I grow older
I remeberthe first time I met Aunt may... we were at a family wedding and this 'vision in a red trouser suit with badly died red hair walked past the room..0 my gran no slouch herself went who the fluff was that? my mum went...your sister you daft bat... well that did it they were inseparable after that....propped up the bar all night conning drinks and you could hear them cackling across the room... so glad they met up again they'd not seen one another for about 30 years as my grandfather didn't approve of May...we think she'd tried it on with him in the past to be honest..
I have a giddy Aunt who will be 80 this year, lives in Canada so I don't see her often - when she came over for my wedding a few years ago she was trying to spend dodgy £10 notes which I think came from a stash she had been hoarding for years - they were legal tender (just about) but really old stock, so the bank changed them all for us after she had been trying to pass them in shops and restaurants. I pride myself on being a Mad Aunt to my 6 nephews & nieces (plus 3 more from Mr Woolies' side).
