My daughter has a problem at the moment with the dog from her neighbours. They have this 3 legged dog but the bast***wards have gone away and left it in the garden. My daughter has been feeding it and would take it in but she has cats that would be upset. She heard it tonight at her front door and the dog was sat there with the empty food bowl in it's mouth. She wants to ring the RSPCA but is afraid they may put the dog to sleep. What do you all think is the best course of action.

RSPCA !! ... I thought as much yesterday ... so did Prudie.
Losers.
They should have the Royal removed from their name.
I know they operate on donations, etc .. but surely they can run it a bit better for the money!?
I've had negative dealings with the RSPCA also. I once reported a bird breeder. He was an alcoholic and he boasted about sellotaping birds' wings and killing his surplus birds (what a horrible expression) by slamming them against a brick wall. He was adamant that this was a quick dispatch for them, and not a cruel way to kill them.

When I told the RSPCA, they replied that they MIGHT be interested if I could get videotaped evidence of this. Some hope!
I've rung the RSPCA on a couple of occasions to report something, but they are not the least bit interested. I would never donate to them because money is all they're interested in.
Im in agreement that the RSPCA should have the word" Royal "taken from them,Also they are bordering on the "Prevention"
bit.My young son found an injured pigeon and took it to the local RSPCA guy who promptly wrung its neck in front of him.He was distraught. Also they no longer take in stray animals they only deal with animal cases that are in the process of being prosecuted.Complete waste of time.
are you anywhere near devon? theres an amazing animal charity here that would come and help you straight away. or at least give you some advice. its the ndaa (north devon animal ambulance).
Your comments yesterday re RSPCA were borne out today. My hairdresser had two pigeons (who have now gone) trapped behind some builders' netting. She rang RSPCA who said they couldn't help, but still asked her if she'd like to set up a direct debit to donate to them!
Any news on the dog?
The RSPCA only turn out if there is a TV camera in front of them, like a lot of other charities.
I was wondering too Kita1. That image of the dog with the empty bowl kind of sticks in the brain.
