Someone told me to use tomato plant food on my plants. It says on the bottle not to get it on the leaves but is this only on tomato plants or does it mean flowering plants also.

It's very concentrated stuff, and may affect foliage of some plants. Tomato leaves are delicate to chemicals, damage, etc.
Do not get it on any leaves.
good for your flowers too! but do avoid the leaves, it will make them yellow and shrivelled, water into the pot or soil only! works a treat this way!....I feed all of plants this way! They all look very healthy and flower well.......................
MiracleGro is also excellent to water into your plants, gives splendid blooms.
Yes boxtops is right, Miracle Grow is good, and feeds through the leaves too, so good for flowering plants!................
Tomato feed has high Potash content which helps the plant to produce better blooms, and tomatoes, but don`t overwater or your `toms` will split and don`t under water or they will get a black spot underneath the `tom`
