the banana plant, though it is called a 'banana-tree' in popular usage, is technically regarded as a herbaceous plant (or 'herb'), not a tree, because the stem does not contain true woody tissue.
HELLLOOOOO Its a banana. You find them in the fruit section of supermarkets. You dont go into your back graden pick a few sprigs of mint, rosemarry and BANANA. Its a fruit!
Botanically, the banana is a fruit because it contains the seeds - or would do if it wasn't sterile.
Look SuperPigeon will you just accept the fact that you are wrong. just because you didnt know doesnt mean it isn't true
okay, lets be clear. The plant that the banana grows on is a herb. This is because it has no true woody tissue (wikipedia) The banana itself is a fruit. Okay? Good!
