I usually get asked to write (very long) poems for friends/colleagues on special birthdays/retirement. But I don't think my soh would be appropriate for the occasion tinkerbell. Hope you find something nice.

tink, the card shops have those lovely little cards for all occasions, best friend, Mum, Dad, try taking some inspiration from them...

I akways try and write mine with a plan in mind - beginning, middle, end. Jot down some salient points you want to mention. Mix up the mood throughout. Let people know something they don't know about your mate and share some character side they do know of. The poetry side falls into place easily then tinkerbell - best of luck

When my daughter's year were finishing primary school, all the rest of the school sang it to the p7's at their farewell service, and all the parents bawled their eyes out :) x
