I'd say May-Dannan....Although I was never keen on Irish in school.
Assuming that this is the Scots Gaelic word for "maids" or "maidens" (though that would be written "maighdeanan"), then it's pronounced "MY-jan-un" where MY rhymes with fry
As opposed to MY rhyming with....?
