Is it symptomatic of the way society is heading that there are so few questions in this section and the Arts & Literature section. This might not be so worrying but for the fact that the list of questions in the Adverts section seems to change daily. Or is it just me?

Are you asking the question or making the statement here old bean? :-)

I agree with you that these two sections generate fewer questions than others but to link it with the decay in society would be hard to prove. Perhaps (trying to be devils advocate for you) these sections simply don't generate questions in the way others might, for example taking the news section, as news is available to us 24/7 in many forms then quite possibly there is very little left unanswered, for which a person needs to turn to AB for help...
I'm concerned, in a bleeding heart liberal (note the small 'l'!) way, that some of the world-changing events of our times generate no questions but perhaps they are best debated elsewhere. While we're on the generalsubject, I find it weird and slightly unsettling that so many of the questions in Film & TV relate to osundtracks, theme-tunes and incidental music... surely there's more to life than that?
Maybe AB visitors come for a break from 'the norm'. It puzzles me too.; Like I keep meaning to ask why it's taken good old U.S. 12 years to decide to whack Sadman and why? Or is there a cat in hell's chance of U.S. withdrawing it's troops without killing? After they spent so much cash getting assembled? Then I think, what the heck.. ask a 'fluffy' question instead. :-)
