Are you really wanting to consider any area in London? Is it a general question or are you actually looking to buy or live in or rent?

I'm thinking the cheapest might not be the most desirable of areas and you can get cheaper property from disadvantaged sales, repossessions etc...

The points about being away from the tube are good ones.

You could always do a search on sites like Rightmove and see where the cheapest places come up.
