prescription ones? oooh yes. Non prescription? well i never found they were much cop, better to cut your salt and increase you water intake.
And if you don't have a medical need for the prescribed ones, don't even think about it.
I have to take two 40mg of Furosemide tabs every day as prescribed by my GP and I don`t go out for about 3 hours afterwards unless I`m sure there is a public loo available nearby.
Who says you have water retention?
What "water tablets" had you got in mind?

Bananas are rich in potassium with works in conjunction with sodium and iodine to regulate your body's water levels. If I eat two bananas or more for brekkie, I pass loads of water.

A few years ago my wife had swollen legs and ankles through water retention and a man at the Health Food shop recommended drinking Dandelion tea.
As kids, we used to call dandelions "Piddle Beds" as the are a diuretic.
They worked wonders for my wife and were dirt cheap, about 80 pence for 20 sachets at that time. Now £1.29 from Holland and Barrett.
