Send some stand-up comedian DVD`s rather than sexy ones, as they need a laugh to cheer them up, rather than reminding them of what they may be missing.
We don't need porn. We have enough lol.
Stand-ups like Frankie Boyle, Jack Dee, Michael Macintyre will go down well, as well as box sets like Family Guy, 24,etc

do they get lots of dvds already then? and do they share them roudn or watch them together does anyone know please
The lads will have stashes of porn, as well as the ability to swap with the other lads via external hard drives.
DVDs will probably go into a central stash, where anyone can watch them. I've never heard of anyone sending out DVDs before, so it's a unique thing. We used to get really useful things like choccy (great in 40 degree heat, the stuff was a puddle in the bottom of your box)
My boyfriend was away recently, he wanted the following (I know you didn't ask but may find it helpful!):

- Talcum powder for his feet (helps them stop sweating so much I think)
- Books/magazines to read
- Food that would survive the post and not melt
- Wash stuff (shampoo, shower gel etc)
- I sent him new underwear after 1 month - we know what men are like lol

I sent loads more stuff but I can't remember what! I agree with the others, they'll be able to get their hands on saucy DVDs easily, I sent my other half Black Adder and the Royal Family and he really appreicated it

thanks for all the help here guys I am actually connected to a charity called 'Operation shoebox' we send out boxes in our free time as volunteers I have 67 boxes here right now to go out all longlife food stuff, nuts magazine have been helping me with some donated mags and I sent nuts a letter and a photo to say thank you they made it 'letter of the week' and gave me £100 play.com voucher I going to spend it on the boys. I dont have anyone out there so I have to often ask people in the know.
Most of all, send them all our love and thanks for what they are doing.
Question Author
Will do, if you want to send me any 'emailed' letter of thanks to the boys I will put it in a box for you if you want so someone will read it over there, up to you, let me know if your interested, that goes for anyone.

'blush' just doing my bit, although it has taken over my life abit lol, I can't move at home for boxes and when I'm at work I'm emailing companies all day to try and get them to send me any samples of their products for the boxes, which is often fruitless which is a pitty. Nuts mag have been great though I hope to find more companies like them soon, fingers crossed, my local marks and spencers, whittards of chelsea, and Argos have helped too, big up to them...

what might they be charitable? or do you mean get dvds from there?? I was hoping the £100 voucher might stretch further if I rang up and asked saying its for charity and I just got a non uk call centre so they didnt help at all...it was worth a try.
what about "our girls"?
Question Author
hello bednobs yes we send out dvds and boxes for the girls too, thanks
What...the - applause from me great work.

Might I suggest that you try E-mail to HMV - Play - Zavvi etc and tell them what you are doing. It may not get a response but its worth a try.

Good Luck
