of going on holiday? it's booked for sunday, flying from manchester - do you think there's any chance that we will go? I'm referring to the volcanic ash cloud - do you think it'll clear by then?

not sure, but hope you have decent insurance cover
The ash might be gone but the backlog of flights won't be, I would contact your airline
It`s all speculation at the moment. If the wind changes to the south west you might be OK- you`ve got a couple of days yet

Thanks - just an update - we got cancelled and Thomas Cook gave us a full cash refund!
luckyish you; I am still waiting to hear from Easyjet about next Sunday.
Where are you off to jno?

I have a flight book for the middle of May with EasyJet, so I am interested on how you get on.
jno,

Just seen your post in News, goodluck with your travel arrangements.
me too, Gromit: today's plan was Berlin on Ryanair; next week's is Amsterdam for the tulips (if any). Ryanair cancelled on Sunday and sent a link where I could ask for a refund or rebook online; I went for the refund. Presumably I won't hear from Easyjet until a couple of days before departure, if that.
