Which 5 letter word goes before 'point' to be, in mathematics, the hypothetical place where two parallel lines join at infinity?

All I can think of is the vanishing point, but ofcourse, that is more than 5 letters.

If the lines are truly parallel and perfectly straight they could never join no matter how long they become.
