The little sh!ts who aren't frightened of authority at all, we took the the bus down to the coast so we could go for a drink, me Bill and two friends.
First the bus, it was quite full when we got on so we went to the babk, there was a 13/14 yr who was sitting with this filthy trainers across the 'facing ' two seats, he did take them down but I told him Sorry I ma not sitting there when you have had your muddy trainers on the seat, this caused much mirth to him and his mates across the aisle, we got off in Newcastle and he decided to stick his foot out as I was moving down the bus but I saw him do it and give him a right b0llicking much to the delight of some elderly passengers, that over we got on a Metro to South Sheilds and it was full of the same age group calling eachother c*****, and useing the f-word in every other they spoke, laughing at passengers who were upset by their behaviour !
Why can't something be done about such yob culture, what are the powers that be frightened of?
<end of rant>

The other side of the coin makes this one more sad. Where children are brought up properly and respect parental authority, they can still rebel etc but it's contained, they know their parameters and are penalised if they cross over them. In the two houses on either side of me there are a total of eight children and two grandchildren, and believe me they are - without exception - lovely young people. They kick off, they pay the price, but they are funny talented kids with a joy in life, who have done well at school. The others we are discussing have no aspirations and seek nothing apart from peer "respect", which means nothing - it's extraordinarily sad.
Morning Joy and All - trouble is the kids are not frightened of the Police anymore (well not the ones that are causing havoc, anyway) - I still think the responsibility lays with the parents. The amount of times I am in the supermarket and parents let their screaming kids just scream, scream and scream some more. What I have noticed is they are normally foreign parents - i.e. eastern european. They seem totally oblivious to it.
I was in Tesco yesterday and just coming out to the car park with my shopping when there was a great big kufuffle in the car park - about 15 Tesco staff were surrounding a car, I thought perhaps a celebrity was there, but no seconds later about 10 Tesco men were carrying, feet first, a very unhappy customer back into the store - and I don't think it was because he forgot to collect his money off vouchers !!!
