Details are a little sketchy. Some people are saying he died in Switzerland, others in NYC. However, everyone seems to agree that he died of mesothelioma and that his body will be flown back to the UK for burial in Highgate cemetery.

it's always said that there is no such thing as a new idea but he was one of the few to truly shape life onwards from the mid seventies, not just from music and fashion but the whole ideology surrounding the punk ethic ... the world can't afford to loose too many of his like.
