Now the election is called, there will be even more MORI and other well known polls published daily; I have never been interviewed, either on line or otherwise, on my political views; I have asked them (the polsters) why a senior citizen who has paid all his taxes, is law abiding, never been inside, worked and voted all of his life is articulate etc etc, has never been asked for his opinion on voting patterns.
Can anybody tell me the answer ?

The answer would be because the average number of people polled is much smaller than the total available!

It is also noted that pollsters usually stay away from those who actively seek to be polled.
