Protesters in Dudley are against plans for a Mosque! Would there be protests in Islamic countries for plans for Catholic and other Religious Churches!

Your question seems to assume that all Muslim states are the same.

Plans for a new church building in Iraq (particularly somewhere like Mosul) might well lead to protests, as they probably would in Somalia. However the rights of Christians are enshrined within the constitution of Iran and widely respected in more 'moderate' countries like Egypt.

Chris
Chris you forget the Mohammed teddy. this isn't a level playing feild, in strongly Islamic states there seems to be little give
Rosetta:
Many Muslims might see that teddy as an affront to their religion but have no objection to a building which celebrates the life and ministry of one of their prophets, Jesus.
Chris, I know you are a genuine guy but I need examples
Christians have lived and worshipped in Iraq for 2000 years, and built Churches, but are going through difficult times now. Google for 'Christian Churches in Iraq'.

I'm not criticising but it helps if you provide a link to the story you're paraphrasing.
Apologies. This question (or rather a version of it) as been posted by AOG.
The protesters were not local. They had been bused into Dudley from as far away as Portsmouth and Wales. They are just a bunch of nutters on an away day.
