8A - Wartime TV series verbally blocks the legal system. 6/3. _O_L_S/_A_

Answer appears to be FOYLES LAW

The W fits in with the "Wordfinder" - answer - MOCK THE WEEK but the series is FOYLES WAR?

Am I wrong or has the compiler had an off day?

verbally .sounds like FOILS WAR
There was a series called Burkes Law on television
It's got to be Foyles War 6,3...because it fits with 4d which is Alun Armstrong.Foils only has 5 letters.

Have got the same problem, Rog :-)

I think the compiler has got it wrong for once!

Well I am stuck on 12A If short again,go into trimming company scheme.6-7 All I have is -R-F- / T---R-N-
Any ideas!!

Shaneystar, it's PROFIT SHARING - your T is wrong!

Thanks very much Aquariel. Cracked it now !

Same problem here. I agree with Aquariel, I think the setter has it wrong and is under the illusion the series  FOYLES LAW. So what do you go for the (correct) definition (TV series=FOYLES WAR) the the cryptic bit (FOYLES LAW).

Remember there is a second quiz based on the shaded squares. If the final letter of  8ac. is W, this gives  the required programme as

MOCK THE WEEK

Any help?
