Please forgive the double posting as this was originally in ''computers'' but after a long time no answers so will try here...

I use a laptop which has a pad instead of a mouse with a scroll wheel, to scroll up or down or side to side I have to left click and hold then move my finger on the pad in the direction i want to scroll, just
recently in some programs I use such as Corel print house the page has started to move just by running my finger over the pad without left clicking and holding down, I was only wanting to move the cursor not the page. Can anybody tell me why this happens & how I can stop it from happening.

most touchpads have the very right hand edge of them set to be a scroll area.
I love touchpads so much that I plug in an external mouse.........
I agree with craft1948. Problems such as this are easily solved by buying a laptop mouse. You'll never look back.
I find my touchpad much easier than a mouse, I have scroll bar at the right hand side, so easy to use, don't need a mouse!....................
Whilst working on a train or plane I had to use the touchpad....just never found it as easy as using a mouse.
Oh, craft, if you just carry on using the touchpad, you'll soon get accustomed to using it, and I think you'll find it easier than having to bring along a mouse too! I used to feel the same way, but now I prefer the touchpad! it's all to do with what you are used to really!!...........................
