I would have made a fortune if I could have found a bookie willing to take my bet.

Words fail me.
Let me guess what your bet was...

She is not being prosecuted because she is black. - Would that be it?

Nothing to do with insufficient evidence. And of course, AOG has all the available facts to make such a clear deliberation.

Have you some kind of hang-up about colour Gromit?

Incidentally she doesn't look black to me.

/// They could not bring charges because House of Lords rules were too
vague ///

Couldn't be she got off because she is a Baroness could it?

But then according to Gromit's rules one is not allowed an opinion, unless he agrees with that opinion.

Do stop trying to make cheap Brownie points.

don't tell me you are surprised

lol
Jacqie Smith is white. So is Cameron. The only difference is they quoted the rule book and got off the hook even though their amounts far superceded those charged for those in the dock. But even then the rules were not followed.
I knew she wouldnt get done because shes Asian and I was proved right like many others.

She got off because a House of Lords clerk said an MP only had to visit a residence once a month and they could designate as their main residence, it's up to them and being as that could not be disproved. That would make a prosecution impossible.
Let's face it that whole bunch of criminals are going to largely get away with it, after all they and their stoogies made the rules in the first place.
She got off because the MPs' "rules" said she could. Agree with modeller, this was made clear re the once-a-month visit on the radio this morning. Race has got nothing to do with this.
