Since Geet-Widers's far-right party has scored major gains in the Dutch elections, he could even become their next Prime Minister.

If this were to be the case, would our politicians accept him in this capacity or would they shun him?

Regarding his film Fitna, will the BBC or Channel 4 be contesting with one another to show it on British television?

Somehow I don't think so, never mind perhaps it will become available on DVD.

Interestingly, there are no actors in FITNA.

Thanks for your links, it is frightening.

Geet-Widers's film may be slanted to get a certain message over, but I think It is time we were told the whole "warts and all" truth instead of, as in this case, trying to get him banned from showing his film.

The spread of Islam should be halted, in this country especially. Our politicians owe it to us.
I know that many Muslims find the film Fitna deeply insulting / upsetting but the fact of the matter is that fundamental Islam (ie. the kind that advocates the murder of non-Muslims) use the Islamic scriptures to justify their vile actions.

All Widers did is make a film that demonstrates this fact.
"Quinlad – You suggest that the film 'Fitna' is the equivalent to child p0rn or 'tamps fighting'. Please can you elaborate on this point?"

No, I didn't. I said that, like child p0rn and videos of tramps fighting, they're both available to watch on the internet.
Quinlad – “No, I didn't. I said that, like child p0rn and videos of tramps fighting, they're both available to watch on the internet.”

Now you're just being dishonest aren't you?

Your actual quote was:

“Like child p0rn and videos of tramps fighting, Fitna is available to watch on the internet for those that are interested.”

I think it's clear to everyone what your post meant. It meant that you believe that Geet-Widers's film, Fitna, is equivalent to videos that show child abuse or videos that show violence for the viewer's titillation.

Fitna is neither of those things and you know it.

Pathetic.
Wow. I seemed to gave touched a nerve with our resident Muslim maligner.

Here's a fuller review: like child p0rn and videos of tramps fighting, Fitna has exceptionally low production values, is lazily designed to stir our baser instincts and is lapped up by braying youths, pub bores and grunting ex-coppers alike.
Quinlad -

Fitna demonstrates that certain people use Islamic scriptures to justify murder.

Do you think that anyone who looks at the Islamic religion and comes to the conclusion that it is a vile theology is somehow unintelligent and therefore elegantly slots into one of your three categories?

You appear to think that anyone who dislikes Islam is equivalent to either a paedophile, a mindless moron or a grunting ex-copper (which is a pop at me, is it not?)

If you're going to argue that Fitna is a dishonest portrayal of Islam then you're going to have to do better than that. Come on Quinlad, show me the factual flaws in the film.
You're right Quinlad - you've touched a nerve. I'm absolutely furious.

You utterly despise the fact that people don't agree with you on this issue, don't you? You accuse them of being paedophiles – quite the most damaging and insulting epithet that you can bestow upon another person – because they dislike Islam.

And from your recent post, you continue to feel justified in doing so.

That is why I called you pathetic and I stand by it.
A two-post response. I'm honoured.

There's very little that I utterly despise. You'll notice I'm not the one who's got myself het up on this thread.

For what it's worth, there's a difference between people who dislike Islam and people who lap up films like this. I think it's fair to say that anyone on nodding terms with the basics of film production would agree that this is amateurish stuff.

Hence why I think it's natural home is the internet, where it can be digested by those who get a semi-on from this kind of thing, rather than the BBC or Channel 4 which have slightly higher editorial standards and production values.
Quinlad – It's interesting that you mention Channel 4 as having “...slightly higher editorial standards and production values.”... than those standards you see in Fitna.

I don't suppose you'll care to view or comment upon the two Channel 4 documentaries I mentioned earlier?

If you're going to argue that Fitna is nothing more that propaganda twaddle, then please explain why “Undercover Mosque” (which demonstrates the same facts as Fitna) has been proved in a British court of law to be factually correct and reparations paid by the Police to the broadcaster.

Your quote - “... where it [Fitna] can be digested by those who get a semi-on from this kind of thing..”

This pathetic comment is not worthy of repost so I won't bother.
