Could anybody tell me if there is a trade organisation for double glazing firms, I ask this because
we had some windows fitted a short while ago and one of the side opening windows just falls
off in your hand when you open it (the hinges are broken) We have phoned the firm & they have
sent a ''fitter'' around on 3 occasions now and all said we will have a new window made and
come back and fit it in a week or so, this has been going on for months now so I feel that its a
case of ''we've had your money so tough luck'' so I thought that a trade organisation may be able to help.

The trade organisation is FENSA ask the company if they are members if not then you have a big problem take photos and write down everything with dates etc good luck
No it isn't.
FENSA is the registration system to assure that windoes and doors meet minimum standards of insulation. GGF (the Glass and Glazing Federation) is the trade body which helped to set up FENSA. FENSA does not get involved in poor quality workmanship or broken promises issues.
See whether the supplier you chose is a number of GGF here.

Thank you both for your information, as I found out ''Fensa'' does not want to know
about poor quality and unfortunately the installer is not a part of ''GGF'' so it looks like
the small claims court is my only option now.
