Anyone see dispatches last night? Now I know all the islamophiles will be seething but it was a serious report about how the IFE have pretty well turned Tower Hamlets into a Islamic dictatorship. It seems Islamic policy is the Tadarruj after all. Should we nip this in the bud now or continue with the ostrich policy?

In TH they infiltrated Gorgeous George's "Respect Party" too, they don't care what party really they have "Higher" loyalties.
How, exactly, is it to be “nipped in the bud”, Geezer?

Provided they have broken no party rules the “infiltration” is nothing of the sort. It is merely people with a certain point of view joining and influencing an organisation for their own ends. They cannot be prevented from joining (a refusal would almost certainly be ruled unlawful by the courts) and once in, provided they abide by the party rules (which must also remain unmanipulated so as not to discriminate against them) they can propose policies and vote however they like. That is what democracy is all about and it is a process which will continue.

Those disliking such activities must join the organisation in large enough numbers so as to outnumber those with whom they do not agree. In places like Tower Hamlets (and indeed neighbouring Newham) this could prove very problematic. In TH in particular 33 of the 51 councillors are Muslims and the Muslim population accounts for about 42% of the electorate. Muslims control the local Labour Party and the local council. Lutfar Rahman, born in Bangladesh but brought up in TH, is the leader of the council

There are a number of places like this in the UK (although TH is currently the most extreme). No doubt they will become more numerous. It is too late to nip this in the bud. The die is cast. It is unreasonable to expect a population of mainly Bangladeshi Muslims to elect white middle class Conservative councillors and MPs. (In fact, TH never returned a Conservative Councillor in any ward until 2006, so it is nothing new).

Now if you are asking whether large numbers of a single nationality of immigrants should have been encouraged to congregate in one small area, or whether they should have been persuaded to disperse and integrate with the settled population, that is a different matter entirely.

I'm open to suggestions judge, you do agree then that it's TH today, London tomorrow and the rest of the country to follow.

So you think that as long as they use our own rules creeping Islam is ok? IFE are the fundementalists who even bully fellow less extreme muslims, their aim is Sharia.

There must be something we can do now before it gets to the stage where a full blown civil war is necessary to halt the infestation. Must we wait?
I saw that program and they do not restrict themselves to Tower Hamlets. In fact they pointed out that it had spread through about 7 major cities in the UK.

The way they appointed that Mayor was downright criminal. I hope the authorities are now looking into it.

It show the danger of having more mosques in the community which turn out to be platforms of hate reaching beyond religion.

It shows that multiculturalism does NOT work as they intend doing their own thing.

Infiltration into the Labour party is now rife and voting for them will mean the problem will get worse.
I saw this as well. And I agree with Rov's post except for the 'multiculturism does not work' part. Other ethnic minority groups were speaking out against the IFE and we were hearing that moderate muslims don't welcome their mosques being used for recruitment into such extreme religious organisations. What I do love about Britain is that free-speech allows documentary makers such as Andrew Gilligan to highlight these issues and show the difference in fundamentalist and moderate Muslim thinking. And I do hope now that this group are more throughly scrutinized and reigned in. As the muslim lady at the end said though, mainstream parties need to face this situation full on and muslims from within need to speak out against such activity.
This topic attracted a number of posts on a recent question I asked.

I cannot understand why some are so naive over this. If it was the "Far Right" that gained the same hold over various councils, there would be out and out condemnation of the situation.

Why the difference, could it be the one's who seem content with the situation in Tower Hamlets etc.are the ones who fear it would be them that the "Far Right" would target, if they had the same hold?
I'm certainly not content to see the UK become an Islamic State, and I believe it is a possibility, if not a certainty.

However, unfortunately under a democratic system the majority holds sway. And in the UK sooner or later current "minorities" will become the majority.

Fair enough judge but what if they get elected under democracy then change the system using our own rules. Introduce Shria abolish the opposition, all can be done under our own system. Hitler was elected initially.
It's a distinct possibility, Geezer, and not one that I relish.

I don't know how to prevent it, however, under our current arrangements. The Monarch, of course, can exercise the Royal Prerogative and refuse to sign any Parliamentary Acts with (s)he does not approve of, but I doubt that will be allowed to stand in the way of a group who are so determined.

The root cause of this is allowing massive numbers of people with cultures completely contrary to those of the settled population to arrive here, failing to ensure that they integrate into the population, and actively encouraging their "diversity" to outweigh the need for them to integrate.
