when you have a music track sent to your computer to burn to a disc. which one should you pick as i have had one sent to me as an mp3 file it will play on my computer. i then burned a copy to disc but it will not play through my stereo.
2nd question why have so many different formats

I assume you just burned the MP3 file to a disc as a data file??
To play it on a CD player it must be changed to a CDA (CD Audio) type file through burning with Nero, Real Player or some other burning program.

media player with XP converts files automatic before burning to disc.....mine play in car/music centre etc - so long as the CDs are good quality
