Mine does that, it's the woolly hat's fault.
There's something weird going on with static just now - me, my daughter and my cat are all being affected with flyaway hair(the cat is longhaired), clingy clothes and static shocks. It only started just before Xmas and someone else posted about it a couple of weeks ago. I've tried everything, even the hairdresser couldn't get it off my face :)
mine does that in winter, it is a combination of heated stylers (hairdryers, straighteners etc) and central heating.

It stopped when i bought myself an ionic hairdryer. But in the short term, you could try rubbing a bounce sheet over the top of your hair (but only one rub at a time as any more than that can make your hair look flat and greasy)
have you changed conditioner lately? I find my hair is really static depending which conditioner I use.
I have an ionic hairdryer - doesn't make a jot of difference.
combs & brushes made of wood & natural bristle would help. Avoid plastic & nylon items.
Have you changed your carpets recently? New carpets with high synthetic fibre will often generate massive static.
Are you living under an electricity pylon?
watch out....carrust works for the Nat Grid & will be charging you for 'nicked electricity' lol

i think its the way the hair is cut, i had a cut a few weeks a go and not bu the usual stylist, i think its cut wrong and wont stay flat, ive tied the tumble dryer sheet ha ha it didnt work but me hair smelt nice, im going to get steam straightners to see if that helps
Use quality products on your hair and avoid plastic brush to comb your hair. For more details please visit at http://www.2beautytips.com/hair/index.htm
