Why is it, that many people always leave about a centimetre of tea or coffee in their cups?
My partner always does this, so, I started giving her a centimetre less in her cup. You guessed it, she still left the same amount in her cup.

why not start collecting all the centimeters of tea in a mug and then hand it over unheated

If you saw the chunks of limescale that come out of our kettle you'd know why. The water is hard as nails in our area and I can't be bothered to clean the kettle that often!
I always leave some, especially after dunkin
I used to leave an amount at the bottom because when I was young my mom used to use tea leaves and I didnt want to drink the leaves, nowadays I will drink all of it because I use tea bags ;)
You need to get out more!
So the dog can have it Lol

Hi Justin,
we had a builder did this! Like you I gave him a smaller cup & he did the same! Really annoying & wasteful!
Try giving him a cup with just one centimetre in it and see what happens.
That's a good idea Mcmouse! ;0)
I agree with beanababe, I have a habit of doing this due to the limescale, there is nothing worse than drinking a lovely cup of tea and then finding your mouth full of bits!! UGH! I do use a water filter so really I don't need to do this when it's just been changed but I do...
Something which annoys me more are people who leave a bit of food on their plates; this is a polite way of saying you've had enough to eat but such an harrassment for the person having to scrape it into the bin.
