Good Morning Woodelf. Big Smile. How are you?

Is it all CD's that this happens with or just one in particular? I have had this happen when CD's are faulty.

Other than that I have no idea and will leave it to the technically minded.

Love Lottie. Big Kiss
Open it and check that the disc is seated properly!
And if all that fails chuck it away and get a new one

Hi Lottie and a Big Kiss and Hug to you too! All the CDs are fine and are seated correctly in their place, so unless someone else can come up with summat, then it's the bin and off to the shops!
You could try a lens cleaner, they are available from most shops that sell CD's for a few quid.

it's basically a CD with little brushes embedded in it and you should get a bottle of cleaning fluid with it, put a couple of drops of the fluid on the brushes, put it in the cd player and hit play.

if it still doesn't work, time for a trip to the shop.
try a different cd, the wifw bought some cheap cd-rw's for me from asda and these did'nt work but i put a decent brand in (verbatim) and they worked fine, otherwise as other posters have said "its a trip to the shops".

Okay Chuck and Dave...sounds like a singing duo! Tried the cleaning thing and still no disc, so will give Dave's idea a try and then it will really be off to the shops - at least the radio and cassette player still work. Thanks guys and Love to you Lottie xxx
