Could it be air from the meter too the g/ valve, or has the boiler got a learnig code for restarting
are you getting any fault codes? what does your manual say and have you asked for an opinion from the rgi that changed the parts
According to my information, there are two possible reasons for this boiler to lock-out.
Either the over heat thermostat operates or the flame fails to ignite.

If it is caused by the flame failing to ignite, I would expect whenever there is a demand for the boiler to fire up – that frequently it would take some time before the flame is successfully ignited (the control circuit allows the boiler 8 seconds to ignite the flame – before shutting down). Should the lock out occur due to an over heat, then this is likely to occur while the burner is on – but observing this could be difficult.

My bet would be on the flame failing to ignite due to either muck on the spark electrode – or incorrect positioning of the electrode, both of which would result in a poor spark.
hi turn off c/h and see if hot water gets hot only if so could need a power flush...
sorry didnt read full question,,,, electrodes
