You can prevent the bottom falling out of the drawers by applying a small amount of PVA glue before nailing the board to the bottom of the back stay. As the board for the drawer bottoms is invariably of unsuitable material - it sags after a while, take one to your local timber merchant and ask them to cut some from hardboard. Take one of the drawers so that the maximum hardboard thickness can be used for the slots in the front and sides.
The sides of a chest 'expanding' may be due to improper assembly. Get some chinaman to translate the instructions for you :-)
Basically the furniture returns to its original state " FLAT " Also the big companies suppling this stuff as secret names: DFS = Doesn't Fit Straight B + Q = Broken + Queiung MFI = Made For Idiots FOCUS = Find,Order,Cockup,Unorder,Stress IKEA = I Kick,Estimate And try again and last but not least WICKS = Wonderful,Instock,Can't get at it, Knackard,Some coming in.
