How's this for bad luck...

A patient, suffering from cancer with an initial poor prognosis, went to hospital where he was given the all clear. On his way home, obviously jubilant, the ambulance in which he was travelling crashed. The man was killed....

This isn't a joke, it's a true story I was told last night. Anyone know any similar?

It's odd isn't it?
I have read several stories like this.
It's almost as if when your time is up it's up,or to put it another way,when you gotta go you gotta go!
I read of a guy who hit another car,and then landed up in a ditch upside down(the police said later that the crash alone should have killed him) He got out in one piece(just dazed) wandered out of the field where the ditch was, crossed a road and was knocked down (and killed) by a car!
I rest my case.
