I don't think your husband is seriously wanting to die with these 'suicide attempts', he is obviously crying out for help and you seem to be having no luck getting that help.
I would try the M.I.N.D. website and have a good look at the articles and information on there if I were you.
An in-patient spell at a mental health hospital may well be his best option if that can be arranged, even if it is just to sort his medication needs out.

Hi again Carrie; I had to pop out for a while.

If you genuinely feel that he needs to be admitted, he agrees that it's what he needs and nobody is listening to you; then yes - maybe he should just turn up and refuse to leave unless they do something.

I don't know why they make it so hard round here. My relative found dealing with the CPN like banging her head off a brick wall. When her husband was being searched for by police and helicopters because he'd threatened suicide ( again ) then gone missing for 3 days she was begging the CPN that surely she must admit now there was a serious problem that needed hospital care. The CPN's response was ' well, lets see what sort of mood he's in when we find him'. It beggars belief!

Especially if you have children you need to get this sorted. I know you will try your very best to keep the kids out of it and shield them but I've got 7 yr old twins myself - my relative also has a child of that age - and they don't miss a trick. They will sense how unhappy you and their dad are and they will worry about you.
Please do let us know how you get on with all of this.
