Comparing Stephen Fry to others who have been knighted, he should have been so honoured long ago.

June Whitfield should have also been made a Dame, anyone else agree?

I think you have it the wrong way around. Folk who become famous simply by doing the occupation they opted for shouldn't be honoured simply for being famous. Entertaining folk is a worthy enough occupation, but is overvalued already, without encouraging the system to award then gongs etc. automatically.
