I downloaded a couple of videos from thepiratebay using utorrent but windows doesn't recognise the file extentions (MP4 and RAR)
Is there a patch out there I can use to play these videos preferably using windows media player.
Thank you in advance

rar are compressed files. Works like winzip but for rar files you need winrar. Try freeware video player called vlcplayer. Better than Windows Media player...should play your mp4s and others.
izarc will also decompress rar files along with many other file types, and its free here

mp4 files also play in quicktime, winamp and on devices like the psp, ipod, and iphone to name but a few
