Is there a reason you would not want to keep her because you were pregnant? I don't see the issue, to be honest. As long as you make sure you wash your hands after handling the snake, there shouldn't be any risk of you or the baby getting salmonella or anything from it.

As someone who has a few snakes and other animals, they don't really take a whole lot of looking after, once you've got the set up sorted, and I don't see why it would be a problem with a baby, as long as you are sensible about hygiene.

You could always pass it on to another reptile rescue place if you really aren't happy to have a snake and a baby.

You sound like you are pretty attached to her and don't really want to get rid of her!!
I would not think the Corn Snake to be any more Danger to yer Infant than a kitten . . . It sure ain't gonna Eat the Infant!

May I Suggest a Web Site, belonging to my Brother, in Arizona, USA. . . . http://www.reptilist.com

He is a Highly Respected Herpetologist here in the Southwest United States. He also Welcomes Questions.

thank you very much. i was just worried about if she escaped or something and got to the baby. but she is very good so i doubt that she would.

i dont even know why i was worried now. thank you
Salmonella is a risk, as another wrote, from any sort of reptile, from turtles to snakes to lizards . . . hand washing is important.
