My Inspiron 6000 is getting a tad aged now and the battery is only lasting an hour or so from fully charged. I've looked online for replacements and there seems to be a massive choice, with prices ranging from £30 to £90. Could anybody advise me what to look for in a battery, which manufacturers are good and so forth? Thanks in advance.

I bought one from a guy in N Ireland (ebay) for about 19 pounds last year and it seems ok, remember to check to see if it is an extended life battery as they tend to cost more always remember that it is classed as a consumable so dont often come with much warranty - check the amp hour rate is the same or better than the one that you have presently

Thanks for the reply, Belgarion - but how do I work out what the amp hour rate is?
