proper way to turn at Junction

I was taught that turning at a junction should be driver to driver side but now I notice people turning nearside to nearside which is dangerous for vehicles who are going straight. what is now the correct way for this manover
prev RTA with no mot two cars are writen off
  
next turning left at a yellow box junction
