Well you did ask for more unusual ones :)
Stiff Little Fingers - White Christmas
Cocteau Twins - Frosty The Snowman
The Dickies - Silent Night
Santa Baby - Kylie Minogue
The 12 Drugs of Christmas - Afroman
Silent Night - Enya
Madonna did a version of 'Santa Baby', and Mel Smith & Kim Wilde did a good send-up of 'Rocking Around the Christmas Tree'.
And of course, there's Bruce Springstein's take on 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town'.
I like Noel Gallagher's version of Slade's Merry Xmas Everybody.
How about a reggae version of John Lennon's -
Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
by John Holt.
It's a bit naff though. Shouldn't mess with the original.
robbie williams did a version of 'i beleive in christmas time' quite funny too
also darren hayes covered 'last christmas'
My band called El Dog are releasing a free single in December. It's an Alternative Rock version of "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" by Sammy Cahn.
