I am currently unemployed and have just signed on. I am looking for an Apprenticeship or a job where i will be trained. I have good GCSE's (9 passes, 7 A-C) and was wondering if anyone has any ideas or knows of any good companies to send my CV to.

Thanks

How old are you, and what area of work are you interested in?

Hey, I have no advice on the apprenticeship front, but just a general tip for the benefit of your CV. I can tell that you are genuinely actively seeking work - good for you. however, until that comes along, might I suggest you get temping work through an agency. Either catering, or manual work, or perhaps office work. The advantages with this are that you will no longer be signing on which means your CV will look better, and the work is TOTALLY flexible and you are at liberty to walk out at any moment if a permanent trade apprenticeship comes available. (Obviously I'd advise giving some notice, just to keep the agency sweet in case you need them in the future). The other advantage is that you only take the hours you want to work, leaving plenty of time free to pursue your longer term career aims!

Anyway, sorry that that wasn't an answer to the question, but I really do wish you all the best. Have you looked at the government website for apprenticeships? Perhaps if you call their number they can help you find one in your local area.
