has anyone used the co - hotwire - apparently they sell off discounted hotel rooms, and it is only after booking that they release the name of the hotel. it sounds good, and they seem to deal with hotels such as the marriott, hyatt etc, but i'm not convinced. i don't want my husband moaning if it turns out to be a flea pit!!

It doesn't sound good to me, if the name of the hotel is released only after booking is confrimed there is no way to compare rates with other agents for the same hotel before booking is made! I am not saying hotwire can not provide good hotel deals but why do they hide the hotel name until reservation is made?? There can be only one reason: avoid comparison with other hotel booking websites!! With the following you can actually compare hotel rates before it is too late:
http://www.orbitz.com
http://www.deskbell.com
http://www.expedia.com
http://www.booking.com
