Anyone on here live there, and if so have you seen the Google Street-View cars around? The reason I ask is that I was born there, many moons ago, and have never been back. Just wondering if that in the near future I will be able to "visit" my old town and see how much it has changed.

my house is not on street view yet but I seen loads of street view cars in my area about 18 months ago, I should be on one of them unfortunatly :)
Question Author
I heard that it takes about 2 years or so before the views actually get onto the site.

Cazzz, I forgot to ask; are you in Newcastle?
no Im in north birmingham, but in a part that is not on google yet.

I could pretend to be but I think you would see through it.. :o
Hi stewy, i live half a mile from Newcastle staffs, it has\'nt changed that much, different shops etc, the outside market is still there,it has a new cinema complex and all the town center is pedestrianised, what has changed is the amount of pubs there is in the town, it is a drinkers paradise now, people come from all over midlands just to drink there. Clayton has not changed at all.
Question Author
Thanks, Marvel. We used to live on Stafford Crescent in Clayton. I see from the Google satellite view that the narrow field (with my favorite tree) is now paved.
Question Author
narrow field behind our house, that is.
