What's the best whisk(e)y in the world, in your opinion ?

I'm rather partial to Highland Park and The Balvenie (both single malts).

If you're not fond of whisk(e)y then please post your favourite spirit (be it gin, vodka or brandy etc).

I am not a whisky drinker but I do like Jim Beam if I have to partake, but my choice is vodka, from anywhere, with diet pepsi or caffeine free coke if i have to get up for work
Oozo ;-)

Sure, there`s only the one. JAMESON`S IRISH. Begorra
the very very best vodka I ever had was the locally brewed one in cancun that was free from the optics in our room, there was also brandy, whisky and tequila, they were litre bottles and they re-filled them half way thru the holiday!!!!!!!
I prefer beer, so I don't buy very much of the hard stuff. But when I do I usually buy Appleton Estates Jamaican amber rum. The taste and the aroma of it transport me back in time to the vacations I spent there. Nothing better than buying a coconut, lopping the top off, drinking some of the milk and replacing it with some rum and staring out over Montego Bay!
I love Glenfiddich & Glen grant also like a drop of johnnie walker black label.

Well I would say that.Theres loads more malts I like -just dont have the names off hand.
While we're on the whiskey topic - ten years ago someone give me two bottles of whiskey which they said they had for about thirty years. Those bottles of whiskey are now forty years plus. Are they still good for drinking?

My favourite is Guinness Royal Extra Stout and Stag Beer.
Should be OK -is that Whiskey as in the Irish or do you mean Whisky as in the Scottish?

Jusy wondering -not being pedantic.
Dris, on the The Canadian Mist bottle I see imported whiskey and the Ambassador I see made in Scotland. Definitely the Ambassador is Scottish whiskey.
