Its an old song from the Twenties, so quite a lot have recorded it. I think the one you are thinking of was from the 1960's and was recorded by the Temperance Seven

Also the 'theme' tuen of the Passadena Roof Orchestra. I saw them once at a university Summer Ball gig supporting Manfred Mann's earth Band - the Passadenas blew Manfred and co. off the stage!
