Can anyone tell me anything about the history of this Northants. town/village, particularly in the 15th and 16th century? I've recently discovered that several generations of my family lived there and would love to know more about the place before I go exploring.

Parish registers only started being kept from 1537, in latinish, from 1598 after Elizabeth had a hissy fit they got better, before then you would be looking at the manorial records, to find out which manor you need you will need to look at the Victoris County History.
