Do the splayed fingers and outstretched arms gestures in rap videos mean anything ? Or is it just general 'in your face you mo-fo ho' etc......

Sometimes the hands are formed into a W or an E (ie by keeping the middle 2 fingers together and spaying the outside ones. This refers to "Eastside" or "Westside"
