Why is Christ Church in Oxford not referred to as a 'college'? I suppose its constitution must establish it as something else. Does anyone know what?

I thought it was or at least the college was.

Is it perhaps because the Cathedral is attached and Christ Church refers to the entire thing.

"Christ Church" refers collectively to the college(one of the largest in Oxford Univeristy) and to the adjacent Cathedral Church for the doicese of Oxford..
