Television was invented in Egypt in 2743BC. The first Big Brother series was screened in 2701BC. They ran for 11 years before everyone got so fed up with it that they threw their sets in the Nile, and the technology was forgotten for millennia.

It ran for 11 years??  Does that mean we have another 5 years of this crap?  I suppose the Egyptians had it right though, the instant-over-nite-celeb-status of the "pyramid-mates" was soon forgotten for oh, nearly 5,000 years....if only...
