What a lovely dog, but do they ever settle down? This one, Herbie, is 16 months old now and everything is still a game. Every other animal except cows are potential playmates. He will lie in his basket but if you go to him then he won't be stroked, to Herbie its a new game of "rip of the sleeve".
He's not my dog by the way.

My partner kept and bred Borders for years.  He is quite passionate about them and his only criticism is that they are "bl00dy slow to mature!"  He reckons that you can't expect anything other than infantile or adolescent behaviour from them until they are two at least!  Persevere!
