Can anyone offer any advice on TV's please?

I would like a new one for my bedroom but am confused about whether to buy a LCD or Plasma and what the differences are exactly!
Even after reading online guides about them I am still confused!

how large a TV are you planning to put in your bedroom!!!

unless you are putting a 40inch + TV I think you'll find LCD is your only choice in the smaller sizes

Neice has the box bedroom with a 55" plasma - the screen gets so hot she toasts bread against it.

Lol thanks for your replies, I'm thinking of getting a 32 inch LCD after what you have both said but I still don't understand what I should be looking for exactly...

What resolution, viewing angle and contrast ratio??
