transfer digital camera movies to dvd

please advise how to do this. I want to play my camera movies on t.v. do I need a particular programme? if so is there a free download site.any advice will be helpful. my system is windows xp. thanks

Yes and no with the program, depends. Your camera should have a jack-in where you can connect wires straight to you television and play off your digital camera. However if you want to play them from DVD I suggest mediacoder & winavi converter. Mediacoder will put the format into .avi and winavi will put the format to dvd. Winavi is not free however :(.

You may take a look at this guide, it's about how to capture video from DV and Camera to computer or DVD. It works pretty well for me

Then you can play the DVD on TV.

Or you can get a A/V cable to connect your camera to TV for playback.
