During june I complained about the time taken to broadcast tennis, but golf has to beat it for boredom anytime. (it spoils a good walk) wait for the shouting at my comments.

I agree about the tennis but disagree about the golf because I love watching the Open.

I can fully understand though why some people do find it earachingly boring. I feel that way about cricket and it's on the box more than golf or tennis.

Each to his own eh! to make life more interesting for myself I have taken up crown green bowling, but thats never on the tv. have good evening Paraffin

Oh stop being so intolerant all of you. There's loads of stuff I don't like on the TV - anything with the word 'Celebrity' in the title, Big Brother, Gordon Ramsey, Ant and Dec, the list is more or less endless, but I have an off button and several hundred books.

boredom normally translates to "I dont care or understand the game" fair enough, it is not boring though. Im sure you will hear people moan about lawn bowls as being pointless, dull and even boring..maybe they are just ignorant to the game.

By the way. Although people love to quote it, 'A Good Walk Spoiled' is the most boring sports book I've ever read. I absolutely love golf and many other sports too (Motor Sports, Snooker, Darts, and particularly Football) and I've read hundreds of books on many a sporting subject.
